“Since our first introduction and subsequent work together in 2023, I have seen firsthand—over time—the team’s dedication to implementing their values. They truly see and serve the most vulnerable with genuine love and effectiveness. We are pleased to expand upon the foundation of our shared vision to equip frontline workers with trauma-healing tools that will brighten the next generation of Ukraine, knowing the best is yet to come.”

As the in-country implementing partner, VAV Better Future will lead day-to-day project operations, including recruiting and supporting frontline workers, managing logistics for trainings and regional trauma-healing groups, overseeing documentation and reporting, and ensuring that each activity aligns with the trauma-informed standards and compassionate approach established by Sovereign Philanthropy. This structure ensures both accountability and effectiveness while building local capacity for sustainable, long-term impact.
By October 2026, the initiative will provide trauma-healing support to over 600 children across 14 regions of Ukraine, deliver three intensive frontline caregiver trainings, and nationally certify 60 frontline workers to lead trauma-healing groups. Together, Sovereign Philanthropy and VAV Better Future aim to ensure that children and caregivers in wartime communities are supported, resourced, and equipped for long-term recovery and resilience.
